Product Research for Children's Learning Tools

In 2017, we conducted a comprehensive market research and analysis on pre-school children’s learning products in Shanghai for an Australian family-owned business. The key objective of the tailored research was to find out comparable products available in the Chinese market, either online or offline. We visited 50 pre-school children’s physical retail shops and 50 shops online and successfully identified 7 online products and 3 offline products that are similar to the client’s products. We completed detailed data collection of each product, including name, country of origin, website, functionality/method of usage, price, retail shop and location in Shanghai, etc. The report was of great help to the client’s China strategies and decision-making process. It is worth mentioning that we only spent 30 hours in finalising the whole research project.
